Finalizing transition from 8 years of D*TiVo to FIOS. Have three TiVo's - one S2(DT), one S3 and one HD.
My problem. Each of the three units show the other two on the Now Playing list for MRV. All are enabled for transfers and downloads.
On either the S3 or HD, when I choose the S2 for MRV transfer, I get a message that says "There are no recordings on this unit" even though there are many SD recordings on the S2.
From the S2, I see the S3 and HD on Now Playing, and when I select either unit for an MRV transfer, the full list of recordings actually do appear, but with a large red marker on each recording indicating that they cannot be transferred.
Is this because of protection on HD content? I don't have any SD recordings on either of the HD-capable TiVo's.
[Edit: I now know it's because they're HD recordings]
I'm much more concerned about the inability of the HD units to see recordings on the S2. I have a DVD-R recorder attached to the S3 and HD for archiving shows and want to be able to transfer recordings from the S2 for archiving.
Any ideas?
