Hello all,
I just installed Tivo Desktop last night and was able to successfully transfer 2 shows from my Tivo. However whenever I try to watch the movie with Windows Media Player my computer crashes???
It's a Dell with Windows XP Pro. What gives?
Anyone with a similar experience?
Thanks.

See my answer (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=6010177#post6010177) to a similar question on another thread.
Might or might not help, but it's usually a codec issue. You can also try searching for "codec" on this thread for more advice.

I'll give it a try and update. Thanks.

Yeah, there's something messed up with your computer. Playing a video file should never be able to crash it. I'd suspect your video drivers are bad/out of date.
