I'd like to see TiVo design and market a "trickplay-only" device for pause/skip/rewind/FF. I think the typical user would never buy a TiVo for trickplay only, but they would pay for a no-subscription device to pay on those secondary and tiertiary TVs in the house.
I'd want a few more features, like more than 30 minutes, don't lose the buffer when I change channels, etc...
The device would need to be HD compatible.
Perhaps let someone else design it and take royalties.
I'd pay $50-$75 for such a device. More if you built-in wifi and let me stream from any subbed TiVo boxes.
