I have a spare HR10-250 that I'm using as a SD DVR.

This morning, I turned the TV on and there was just a black screen.

No response when pressing the remote or the front panel buttons.
I unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in a few minutes later.

After that, none of the lights on the front panel came on and there
was still no sound or picture on all ouputs) However, I do hear the
hard drive and rear fan spinning.

Is my HR10 dead or is there something else that I can try? DirecTV
offered no help, except offering me a free HR21.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Sounds like a power supply problem. Go to weaknees for a replacement.

Is there a way for me to test to see if the power supply is the culprit?

Thanks! :)

Don't give up on it yet. Sometimes when my power goes out, or just flickers, my box goes into this "zombie" mode. Reach behind the box on the right side and pull the power cable out and replace. See if it comes back on. Repeat. I sometimes have to do it 5 or 8 times, but it eventually comes out of its coma. Give it a shot.
