Seasons pass missing new recordings

i have a hdvr2 with about 70 items in my seasons passes and all are set to only record new shows, yet i notice its not picking up alot of new episodes yet in the description it shows the year 2008 n they are new shows, ie family guy and king of the hill , prison break, ... any ideas as to y this is happening and how i can fix it so i dont have to keep doublechecking n manually setting it to record new episodes? its running 3.1...

I'm not sure why your hdvr2 would stop recording season passes, but here's what I'd do.

You could go to one of the problematic season passes and look to see it if still lists a channel number (years back I know this was an issue for USA.)

And check the recording history to see if their is any reason listed for the missed recording.


But the best advice I can give is simply to delete the problematic season passes and recreate them. That's probably your best shot at clearing up the issue.

ya i checked n when i go into seasons passes n look fer new eps it shows me them on the channel but misses some .. is there a limit to how many seasons passes i can put? only started after i hit over 65 .. n my seasons passes are all set to record new eps only .. n its missing some old seasons pass recording and sum of the new ones ...

There was a thread a while back that asked about how many SPs people had and there were a number with over 100, and a couple with 250+ SPs.

First thing I would do is just restart your Tivo.

You can also just reorder a season pass to force it to recompute the dependencies and thus the to do list.

yes restarted tivo same thing... i have over 70 season passes n tried to redo a few n same ... is there not a way i can say delete just whats in my to do list and force it to recheck the guide n rrebuild the todo list?
