All,

I have 3 OWNED DirecTIVO units, two 40 hour (HUGHES) and one 80 hour (R10). All were damaged during a lightning storm. Two will turn on but would not attach to satellite and the other would not turn on.

I've had them replaced by DirecTV with R15s. Its been a few months and although they have drawbacks, I'm getting used to them and I am under a commitment anyway.

Well, the old units have been sitting in my garage for months. I'd hate to throw them away, because I know someone could make use of them. I kept telling myself that I would try to sell them on ebay (or at least the remotes) but I've been too lazy.

Would anyone be interested in them?

They would cost $100.00 a piece to get fixed.

To much for me. If someone wants to invest $300. CCS does good work.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but selling equipment here is against forum rules. See rule #12 in this sticky thread.

The AVS forum does have a classified section (the link in rule 12 is broken).

hmmm...I don't see any offer for sale...seems to me the OP was offering to give them away rather than toss them in the garbage.

Are you offering them for sale, for donation to someone willing to pay shipping, what?

I would be interested. I have a use for 2 units that don't need sat signal, and I have parts from a junk R10 that I ruined back in the day, learning to solder, which I may be able to use to fix one of them.
