2 tuner but only useing 1

Hope this is a simple fix.

I've got a DTV Tivo w/ 2 tuners that I've put in a guest room.

For now I'm only running ONE cable line into the reciever. (Sat.1)

Problem: Since there is only 1 sat. line coming in, when the unit is set to record, it records on the un-used (Sat 2.) tuner. Recording nothing.

Is there a way to "tell" the unit to only recognize the 1st Sat.?

I hope this makes sence.
