I'm technologically over my head here. I believe the problem may be that the Tivo Desktop software is not properly loaded.
I am able to publish photos and music to Tivo Desktop and display and play them on the DVR.
However, I am unable to publish videos to the Tivo Desktop even though I have 3 Windows Media files in the My Tivo Recordings folder. When I click on "Pick Videos to Transfer", there is no response.
The first call to tivo support told me I had to upgrade to Tivo Desktop PLus ($25.00). I did that and when I plug in the upgrade key number#, there is a TIVO Error Message: "required software components are missing".
The second call to tivo support told me to use the Tivo Desktop cleaner utility and then re-install version 2.5.1 being sure to disable any firewalls. Did that, same result; same error message.
The third call to tivo support and the agent had no ideas on how to fix the issue.
Anyone have thoughts?
