Howdy all.
I am new to my Series 3. I have all of my legally purchased music CD's stored as their native, uncompressed WAV files, happily. Can I use them on my Series 3 without converting hyundreds of Gig's to MPG or whatever?

You should store them in a lossless format like flac. Takes half the space.
BTW, the S3 can only playback MP3. It will convert your files on the fly.

Greg, isn't WAV lossless?

It is indeed. Just not as "efficient". It takes about twice the space as FLAC, or the Apple and Microsoft lossless formats. But if you got the disc space, suppose it doesn't matter much. :)

pyTivo will also now support WAV playback. (You have to get a recent version from the git repositories.)
