The wife set up Empire Records to record yesterday morning (was on at 5am) so she could watch it during lunch. Went to look for it only to find TiVo had deleted it at 8 am because the copyright flag was set expire after 0 days.
Was that a fluke, or does HDNetMovies just not allow recording?

Sounds like your provider improperly flagged that channel. Hdnet does allow recording, so that is something your provider is doing.

I recorded several movies off of there without any problem. I wasn't allowed to transfer it to the PC though, but someone on the forum contacted HDNET and asked, and they said they do not require any copy restrictions, so it's apparently all done locally by the cable provider.

They do allow recording. It's not HDNet Movies, it's your cable system flagging the channel inappropriately (with "Copy Never", which should be used only for Pay Per View).

I recorded Silverado a few weeks ago and it's still on the hard drive. It also shows as transferable per TiVo Desktop.

Recorded Memento (excellent) and Soylent Green (hilarious) within the last week. Provider is FiOS.
