Ref: Tivo HD (no cable cards), Comcast analog cable, Sony Bravia HD TV with Pioneer HD receiver.
Sorry if this is simple but we are new to this. How can I find out the listings for the HD channels that are over the air? (e.g., Channel 7 is 7.1, etc.) I can turn ion HD listings in TV Guide but get the 3 digit 'real' HD channels. I realize I would have to set manually and that's ok if I can find out what is scheduled.
Thanks.

Are you using an antenna or trying clear QAM?
If antenna:
When you did guided setup, did you say "cable" or "cable + antenna"?
If you said cable+antenna, the channels should be there.
If you said cable, redo guided setup and the channels will appear.
If clear QAM, you should be able to go into "channels I receive" and have a bunch of channels that are unchecked - check them, and then go see what's on them. Or if its your lucky day, check out your local HDTV programming thread at avsforum, and maybe someone has done the work already for where you live and lists out what clear QAM channels correspond to what broadcast channel.

Sorry but I am new to this and don't fully understand the question. We have Comcast cable only - not digital- no antenna input. I just noticed on our new Sony Bravia TV that if I just go up and down with the channel selector, I get 5 (PBS) and 5.1 (PBS HD). I can view the HD on the TV. I realize the Tivo can't record 5.1 and at this point don't care as I don't have cable cards in the Tivo. But I can at least WATCH certain things in HD until the time that everything is upgraded. I'm just trying to figure out where on the web I can find the listings for 5.1, for example. There are HD listings on TV Guide but I don't know if this applies to fully digital offerings only (like the 700 series channels here). Thanks again.
