I've been using a DirecTV with Tivo for years and absolutely love Tivo (I know this forum is about stand alones, read on). I am starting the process of Upgrading to HDTV in the house and decided to start by getting 2 Tivo HD's and in a few months Get the actual displays, etc. Anyway Feb 2 I had Brighthouse connect me up and got 4 CC's with the HD feed (HD is the same price as regular digital) I just missed out on the HD channel add/drop mess, I never had any other HD channels so I never lost any and the lineup switch was the day before so.. I don't know.
Anyway my problem is a few of my channels are not coming in on the right channels. What do I mean for example Channel 97 is Basic cable and should be CSPAN1, I get "ShopNBC" or some sort of shopping channel. If I connect directly to a cable ready TV 97 is CSPAN1 like it should be. I forget the channel number but the Digital Cable version of CSPAN1 also comes in as ShopNBC. CSPAN3 comes in as a jewelry channel, I get 2 channels listed for NASA (I forget the number I think 15 is listed 2 times in the guide once as NASA the other as Local origination) NASA comes in on the other one. I have noticed it on a couple of other channels and I really don't have the time or patience to check EVERY channel . I had BH come out and reinstall the CC and troubleshoot, the tech was stumped and thought it might be an issue related to the channel lineup swap and would probable fix itself in a few days. No luck so far. I also Called Tivo to ask them for more information about the CC install. He said that Tribune (the place that does the guide data) had some errors and that they are working on it. That didn't make complete sense to me because if that were the case EVERYONE with BHN in the area would have that problem and I haven't seen anything, YET.
Does anyone else with BHN in Brevard (central FL) have incorrect or missing channels besides the new HD channels? or does anyone have a suggestion how to get all my channels. Its not a huge thing I have only really notice problems with CSPAN1, 3, NASA and few other minor channels that I thought I should be getting but aren't.
