View Full Version : Just bought Tivo HD, any plan promos out there?

I just bought a Tivo HD from a friend and i will be activating it next week, i read on Tivo.com that they're offering 3 free month on new Tivo's, is that only if you buy a Tivo from them or for any new activation Tivo?

ANY new activation on ANY TiVo DVR. But you must activate the one-year monthly plan between 1/16/08 and 2/16/2008. The wording on many of their promotions is a bit ambiguous on where the source of the TiVo box can be (in reality, it doesn't matter where you get your TiVo for any of the promotions, so far). But fortunately, this one is a little clearer than others have been.

I have Verizon FIOS coming later this month. Is it possible to activate my TiVo prior to hooking up FIOS?

Yes. You could try OTA until then. At the very least you'll get the promo. It would be good to have your TiVo on the network for several days before Verizon arrives so its software is up to date.
