I have a Tivo series 2 2t box with a lifetime service. I plan to move within a month or so and am wondering how i will transfer my service to my new address. Please let me know.

You can change address information online using the manage your account section on http://www.tivo.com. Since you already have a lifetime account then you really don't need to make any changes since you are no longer being billed for it.

You will need to run the guided setup again to change your zip code if you move to a different zip code so you will get the correct guide data.

That should be all you need to do other then calling your cable company to get the cable setup.

So I change the address online and then when i plug it into the phone jack at the new home it will work?

The address online is just for any billing or other information that Tivo may need to send you. You don't have to do anything online to have the Tivo continue recording programs.

You do have to re-run the guided setup if you moved to a new zip code. When you re-run the setup you will be able to tell it the zip code for your area and I believe you can select the new phone number for your area at this time as well. If not, then you can go to the phone and network settings and configure the phone number from there.

If you have a home network setup, you could configure the tivo to use the ethernet to connect to the Tivo company and download the guide information then you wouldn't have to use a phone connection.
