Hi,
I have been trying to use TiVo ToGo to transfer an HD recording (8.5GB), and I am getting hit constantly with timeout failures at the exact same spot in the video stream (around 2.3GB). The TiVo Desktop software reports it is not making any progress and if I leave it alone for awhile it eventually starts up again and stops at around 4.6GB. The second time it stops it reports function failed during execution and the TiVo Desktop software crashes (I have to reboot to gain access again). My desktop OS is Vista Ultimate (x86) in case that matters.
I have tried to download directly through the TiVo's web interface and used 3rd party tools TiVoPlayList and TiVo Desktop Lite, all three of which fail at the first 2.3GB mark with timeout errors. I have tried downloading three different HD shows from different networks (NBC, CBS, and ABC) all with the exact same issue (and stopping points).
Also, when I view the incomplete video file I have noticed no artifacting or other issues with the video stream, either on my computer or during playback on the TiVo itself.
I tried searching for this in the forums and found some mentions of these errors, but nothing that sounded like this issue. Is there a problem with my TiVo? or is this a known issue with the current software on the TiVo? Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated. Thanks!
