Hi everyone,

I would appreciate some quick help from more experienced users on the following issue.

Here's the background: I have a Series2 TiVo with about 2 years subscription left. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and recently switched providers from Telus to Bell Express Vu. Bell advantages include having a dual tuner hd pvr which allows me to watch my full programming on a second tv (TV2) in my bedroom. I have my first tv (TV1) which is in my living room hooked up directly by HDMI cable from the satellite box to the tv. Problem is the Bell hd pvr only allows a connection to TV2 through a RF modulator, and you specifically have to set the receiving channel to 73. I wanted to hook up my TiVo to the second tv (i.e. satellite rf mod cable to TiVo, then TiVo to TV2), but TiVo's RF mod is limited to channels 3 or 4. Is there a workaround? Anyway I can set my TiVo to play through channel 73? I hate to lose the joys of having a TiVo somewhere in the house!

Note: I can use the bell hd pvr to record shows to watch on TV2. But as we all know, TiVo is not just about recording shows.
Also, do I have any options with respect to using the TiVo on TV1? Can I hook it up directly to the satellite box and still retain my hdmi feed?

Thanks, thanks, thanks.

Trying to have one DVR control another DVR really isn't a viable solution. The BELL HD PVR will want to change channels if it has something to record, and yet your TiVo might have a conflicting idea about what channel it should be on.

In your situation, you might want to get another dumb sat receiver from your sat co and connect the TiVo to it; your TiVo would go into one input of your TV, and the rf modulator from the HD PVR would go into another.
