The pace these last several episodes has been picking up well. As corny as it started off (and has been much of the time) they seem to be doing a credible job of keeping the action interesting and fast-paced. I'm actually looking forward to next week. :)

yes, the show has certainly improved...I was worried for a moment that this was a season-ending cliff-hanger...

Ming's becoming merciless.

This was a good continuation of the uprising plot, and we FINALLY got to see Dr Gordon alive! I hope he'll make it. :)

Yes, Ming is finally more merciless. I can overlook the "kill them... but later, so they have time to escape" scenes, this is the nature of this show after all. :) He seems furious with the idea of him having Deviant blood - is this a play on Hitler's supposed fear of being Jewish, while hating the Jews (and cripples among others)? More than a few similarities with Mongo and Nazi Germany, so I suppose this is intentional.

I still find the Earth scenes, this time with Dale as the lone regular, trite and uninteresting. I don't think she'd be able to convince a lot of people of Mongo's existence at this point, and frankly the reasons they have stated for trying are vague at best (give Earth's people time to prepare...). Though I have to say, we have nothing to fear from Ming's army - Flash Gordon alone seems capable of dealing with them, imagine if they'd run into the US military? :D

I got the feeling Aura does not trust Terek completely, after the scene where Terek stated the plan of attack, which seemed to put her off. I wonder if they were sewing the seeds for him possibly becoming another dictator himself?

if I ever have to go to prison, I want to serve my time in Ming's...seems anyone can just walk in, open the door, and let you out!

heck, half the time, the person comes into your cell with the key and just gives it to you :p

Yeah, Ming's security apparatus is a little lacking.

My shallow thought of the day: Aura is hot!

Yeah, that cracks me up. Also, there is apparently no security elsewhere - once you're out of the cell, you can just walk out of there. :D

And all the Cantons (except maybe Frigia) seem to be a fifteen minute walk from each other.

but you just go to your nearest Monk (another place where you can just walk-in) and he'll teleport you there (and give you a change of clothes!)...

Yeah I mentioned this in a previous thread. I really wish the writers would have thought of this earlier, and incorporated some form of transportation into the show...
