Does anyone have experience using a Logitech Harmony remote control with TiVo and a stand-alone DirecTV unit? Specifically, can you program the Harmony remote to change channels on TiVo and DirecTV simultaneously? I’ve done just about everything suggested on these forums for getting the DirecTV and TiVo units to work but still only get about 85% accuracy when changing channels. The problem would go away if the Harmony device can “learn” to control both units with one command.

You don't want to do that! Let the TiVo change the channel on the DirecTV receiver. If that doesn't work, you'll never get the TiVo to record shows on its own.

Are you talking about using a standlone Tivo to record from a DirecTV receiver? If so then steve's right, you do not want to be using the DirecTV unit directly. Let the Tivo do the channel changing.
