I'm a 10 yr DTV subscriber and I have two DTV TIVO's (Hughes and Philips 6000) and know my way around. I'm having a problem that's just developed with the Hughes TIVO since last week when not all of my channels are available. I've tried everything and worked with DTV customer service but they haven't a full explanation. I only had channels 202 to 404 working at one point last week then 24hrs later I had everything back except the Premium channels and the GOLF channel which I still don't. Has anyone confirmed that this might be related to a software problem? Did DTV make a change affecting these older models. I'm also grandfathered on the lifetime TIVO subscriptions so I'm figuring I'll lose that if I just switch out one or both of my units? Any thoughts? Thanks

Check out the above URL. They will fix your TiVo's at a reasonable price and not effect your lifetime subscriptions

If you do switch out your units, you should NOT lose your lifetime status as it's linked to the account, not the box.

It DOES sound like the Hughes is failing - especially if you're having no problems with the Philips. You may want to consider re-imaging or replacing the hard drive - more info in the TiVo Upgrade (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=25) forum.
