View Full Version : D* error or an attempt to extend my contract?

When I read the Direct TV bashing about commitments I always took them with a grain of salt. I wondered how many were cable people bashing DTV. Well yesterday I received a letter thanking me for extending my contract for 1 year and in return they were sending $50 to a charitable organization.

I called and explained that I did not place this order and did not want a 1 year extension added to my contract. The customer service person said they would remove the sales order but could not explain what triggered the order being placed.

I wonder if this was an error or was it intentional.
