OK - if you are a fan of reality TV featuring celebrities - you GOTs to watch GONE COUNTRY on CMT. I just watched the season premiere and I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. It's delicious :) (if you like this kinda thing that is...)

I watched it yesterday and will probably try to catch the whole season. It will be interesting.

I hate country music but I am so interested in how these folks pull it off especially the Hip Hop ones. The rocker alienated the host (Rich somebody) which was stupid. The parts of country music I do like are the same as rock and that is great guitar music. In fact, they played something that sounded like Classic Rock over and over on the pilot episode.

I will see if the second episode is amusing. It is only 7 episodes long and it looks like they are half an hour so only 4 hours gets wasted on this one. For some reason the first episode was an hour long.

I have watched the first 2 and really enjoy this one. I checked it out when Howard Stern mentioned it and that Dee was on it, so I figured what the heck. Now my wife and daughter are enjoying it. Some of the celebrities are a mess. Marcia Brady comes off as an emotional train wreck, and time has not been kind to her. Bobby Brown snowballed everyone into believing he is a nice guy, until alcohol enters the picture, and then the real BB comes out and the slide has begun. He blows off responsibility, can't stop drinking, becomes nasty and who knows what's next. The Plowboy Mansion is Barbara Mandrell's old place and it is spectacular to look at. It was for sale for a long time, not sure if it sold or if the ground will be subdivided into 8 or 9 more homes. Being only 7 episodes it will go fast.

I still have them in the folder. I guess I'll give them a shot today.
Side Note: I have seen Super Dave jump motorcycles live twice. The dudes a trip! Not sure how he made "the jump" to TV though... :D

I was a little bored by it, but I'm keeping the season pass hoping it gets better.

Was this filmed after Maureen McCormick was on Celebrity Fit club? If so she put back on all the weight she lost on there. She also appears to be a wacko on this show, she wasn't this wacky on the CFC.

ok seriously.... i'm no fan of country music but i thought the winner was the absolute worst of everyone on the show. seriously, i thought that person had no chance in hell of winning and yet they won. wow.

I completely agree with you.
Based on everything that John Rich said through out the entire show about finding someone who was passionate about country music - in the end - he picks the contestant that had the audience - what? screaming the most?
It made no sense. If anything he picked the contestant who seemed to be the complete opposite of everything he claimed he was looking for...
I enjoyed the show but John Rich - I hope Peta took notice of his furs. What a tool.
I didn't care for the choice of winner either.
I thought that Carnie Wilson could easily have been a winner. I really liked her song, and if I were available today, I'd definitely buy it. I was also surprised by Maureen McCormick's performance as it was better than I had imagined it would be. Dee Snider's performance didn't surprise me at all. :)
I just don't see how Julio Iglesias, Jr., is the right winner. I get the feeling that he was chosen more as a connection to his father's fame, rather than his own performance; it did nothing for me.

I was so mad that he won, the only reason the women were screaming for him was because they thought he was a hunk... his song sucked! I wanted either Carnie or Diana to win!!!
