My local station played the Republican Debate from 9pm on. They replayed The Apprentice this afternoon and a commercial during it had the guys from Chuck saying "you just watched Chuck, and stay tuned for an all new Chuck next."

But I see only 1 thread for a Chuck - the 8pm one. Was there a new Chuck at 10pm on Thursday?

Yes, 2 chucks

2nd one was "Chuck Versus the Marlin" I liked it better than the 1st one.

I live in the Orlando area too. They made up the second Chuck this afternoon also. It was on right after Celebrity Apprentice at 3:00. But it appeared that the guide data was wrong and the episode title was listed as the Undercover Lover one. So your DVR might have thought it was a repeat. It WAS the Marlin one though, because I watched it - and the description didn't match at all.

It is also available online on NBCs site. That is how I have been watching it until I just picked up my 2nd tivo.

I don't watch this show but I saw that ad for two new Chucks and was thinking it was funny that with the writer's strike going on they'd do that. You'd think if anything they space them out further.

Or wait a couple weeks and air them during February sweeps.

They're putting the new Skanks in the City type show, Lipstick Fungus, in Chuck's time slot for sweeps.

so how does that work anyway? Since chuck is done for the year, what would the point be of rating that show and time slot? Certainly if chuck did well they would want to charge more but if the show wasnt even on anymore, why would any advertiser want to pay higher rates?

Or would chucks ratings just apply to 'whenever' it did come back on regardless of what month it is?

I think it's dumb too, but apparently some of their new shows are getting decent ratings.
