View Full Version : 2 Weeks of Guide Data?
I was trying to schedule a show that is a little less than two weeks away (1/31) but the guide just showed "to be announced" for all channels on that day. Shouldn't tivo have two full weeks of guide data? Can this be fixed?
When was the last time your unit connected to the service for guide update?
It has approximately 2 weeks from that point in time.
If you know the date and time of the show, you can set it manually.

If you connect after around 4pm in the afternoon then it has 12 days forward and 2 days back. Accessing the previous 2 days appears only able to be done via the Live Guide.

No, search by Time or Channel does it, as well.

Back when I had an S2 for a couple years I was certain you could look 14 days forward, but obviously this is not the case anymore - only 12 days forward. I wonder if that is something changed by Tribune company (who handles the guide data) or if I was just dreaming.

Having come from using a DirecTivo for the past few years I was likewise surprised to see such a short period of time available in the guide. Only 12 days? That's not much.

It has always been that way since Series 1 back in 1999.

Yeah, I believe you. Was just surprised since I was almost certain I could get 2 full weeks forward. Either way, 12 days is better than the 5 1/2 you get through most cable company DVR's.

Thanks for the heads up on the 12 days worth of Guide Data.
I came from a S1 DTiVo, then S2, now S3 and I thought it was 14 days worth of data. Weird how zap2it.com has the full 14 days though :(
