I purchased a THD but still have 15 days left to return it. I've been very happy with it however, I am still daydreaming about purchasing a Series 3. From everything I've read it seems there really is no difference between the Series 3 and the THD besides network transfer speed, multi stream CC support versus single stream and extended drive support capabilities. There also has been some mention of possibly better tuners in the Series 3 but I couldn't confirm that from reading the msg boards. So is there really any other reason to consider getting a Series 3 instead of the THD? Does the THX rating really amount to nothing? And is the Series 3 lack of support for multi stream mean that in the future, it may have issues supporting newer CCs?
(Thanks!)

Don't forget there is the cool OLED display and better aesthetics.

But wouldn't the time to have daydreamed about this decision been before your purchase? Be happy with what you got. It is a fine piece of hardware

I have a multistream cable card in my TivoHD that works fine.

They only work in a TivoHD. You can use them in a S3 but you will need two.

This could just be me, but judging from the posts on this forum, it seems that the software/hardware of the Tivo HD seems a lot less stable.

I don't know if this is a valid observation, or if this is an artifact of many more people having Tivo HDs now.

I bought an HD just before Christmas and have been very happy with it since getting an M card for it. I am used to ReplayTV (I have 5 although one is on loan to my brother-in-law) and so the software on the Comcast DVR nearly drove me nuts. I'm slowly getting used to the TiVo's UI--which is miles better than the Comcast DVR.

If your HD is working, I wouldn't fix what ain't broke. That's my personal take at least.
