I’m having a problem where the colors on my Tivo are skewed heavily to pink and green colors. I’ve read the threads that people with HDMI were having this problem, but I’m using component cables. I do also have a PS3 and Apple TV that aren’t having the problem.
Any suggestions?

Once I started having weird TV colors. The problem wasn't obvious to me since I'm red-green colorblind, but my wife saw it immediately. Turned out that the plug of one of the 3 component cables was loose. Perhaps that's your problem, or that one of the cables is bad.

Sounds like you plugged the cables in backwards. Try swapping the component cables around, and make sure you match the P/Yb/Yr on both ends. Unfortunately, not all devices use the same naming/color scheme, so you might need to try a few combinations (fortunately, at worst, there are 6 combinations if you keep one side fixed).

You probably either have a bad cable, or have your cables connected improperly. Double check that you have the connections correct, then, one by one disconnect each of the three cables. If disconnecting a cable has no effect, you have isolated a bad cable.

Thanks, but I should have mentioned that the problem is intermittent. Sometimes the colors are fine and other times pink and green. Rebooting does not correct the problem.

Try new cables then and making sure they are secure.

Ok, sounds like the cables are connected correctly. If you wiggle the cable does the problem appear? what about if you wiggle the connections on each end?

Almost definitely bad cables or a bad connection on the TV. Try changing the cables, and try a different component input on the TV.

I jiggled the cables and all is well now. Thanks so much to everyone who offered advice.
