Hiya all,
Ok for some reason, every channel from 2 up into the 100's tis listing two times on the guide menu.......2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,---46,46,47,47,48,48, etc etc. I have restarted the Tivo many times, updated many times and yet the channles remain listed twice, was nice thinking I had 1800 channels of info-mercials haha....any ideas? Thanks a bunch

A dual tuner with cable box set up to also record the analog channels will list both the analog and digital channel.

Hmm so I suppose I am stuck with dual listings then aye? I need the dual tuning capability I would like to keep that set up. I believe I set that up when I connected my cable box to the Tivo with a simple Cable Splitter.
If not mistaken, the dual tuner set up allows me to watch an infomercial about the best stain remover in the world on one channel while recording the informercial about the better one on a different channel?

You can alway remove the digital version of any or all of the channels in the 'channels I receive' list and you will still be able to record the same content, it's just that it would be the analog version.

"Dual tuners" have nothing to do with duplicated channel entries. A dual tuner S2 has an internal splitter that feeds the single RF input to both of its analog tuners.
The external splitter is needed only if you use a cable box to receive digital or "premium" channels.
In almost all cases, you should only have one of the duplicate channels enabled in your "Channels [you] receive". The channels tagged as "cbl" are analog, those with "box" will use the cablebox. If a channel is listed twice (ie both "cbl" and "box"), you should disable the "box" and enable "cbl". This will allow you to receive and record any two analog ("cbl") channels. You can receive at most one "box" channel at a time (and one "cbl" channel with the one "box" channel).

Have you tried to delete all those channels and run guided setup again?

Another reason the channels will appear twice with a Series 2 DT is when the guide options are set to "All Channels" rather than "Channels You Receive". Bring up the LiveTV Guide and press the ENTER key to bring up the options.
