Get close caption working for movies transferred to Tivo

Being hard of hearing, I need the close caption. How can I get close caption to work with movies transferred to Tivo? I used VisualHub to convert to MPEG2

How are you importing the movies?

Pocketdivx (free) works good for this. Run the vob thru it and check off the box that says ABC or something like that on it. Crank the quality level bars to their max too.
