I need HELP! Does anyone have any pics of where the jumper (my sony has 2) goes? I made a picture on paper but I seem to have lost it! Talk about being a DUMMIE! As always thanks for the help! Sammae:confused:

The drive itself should have a picture of how to set the jumpers. There's many different brands/models of hard drives out there, nearly all of which with differing jumper locations, so it's quite difficult for anyone just to post up a picture of what you need.
Since you've got 2 drives, one should be master and the other slave. One might even need to be master with slave present (Western Digital??), but nobody can tell you unless you share some more information.
edit - or did you mean 2 jumpers instead of 2 drives? This would change things a bit also.

No, it has one harddrive, It's a 30 GB maxtor. And no ,it does not have any jumper pictures! THAT's why I am asking for HELP! Oh it has 2 jumpers ( forming a 'L' shape) sammae
You could always look it up on the Maxtor/Seagate website... they often archive pictures of the jumper settings. Look it up by model number (it's model-specific).

Can you post the model number of the drive? Maxtor 30GB isn't specific enough.
