no telnet or TivoWebPlus at all?

here's my problem, I can transfer recordings between my 2 DTivo units which means MRV works and my Airlink 2.0 USB adapters are working and lights up but I can't get TivoWebPlus or telnet with either receiver, nor can I get a bash prompt with my serial cable using Hyper Terminal, I get the error message "Another program is using the selected Telephony device. Try again after the other program completes."
what can I do to solve my problem? thanks

Got to ask the obvious, have you tried restarting the tivo?

This is odd because USUALLY if your network settings get hosed you have MRV but lose the IP so you can't TWP, network telnet, etc. but a serial telnet should work. Did you change anything recently or did you just lose the networking for no apparent reason?

yes I restarted the 2 receivers and no go, if I could solve the error message that I stated in my original post using HyperTerminal then I can use my serial cable to reinstall the enhancement scripts or else I have to pull the drives and rezipper both units :(
