Tivo Rollout Continued

I am in zip code 03873. http://www.comcast.com/gettivo for me still stated coming soon. But I decided to call comcast today and in fact they have scheduled me for a tivo install on 1/9/2008. The cost is 2.95 extra a month plus a one time charge of 14.95 for the install.

Before I called (last week) I upgraded my 6412 to a 3416 by visiting the Manchester, NH office.

I live in Aushnet MA 02743 and just called Comcast to order DVR service with TiVo. They charge 17.95 to install, but I asked for a waiver and I was given one. I currently have a TiVo HD with CC's and I just want to try it out and be a paying member of the Comcast TiVo club to see if there is anything there worth having over a TiVo HD. At $20.00 a month, it's certainly no bargain compared to a real TiVo, but I must play. I scheduled the install for next Monday, my day off.

I'm debating about paying the $14.95 install fee plus $2.95 per month......

I'd like to hear from others who have the service whether or not it's worth the upgrade right now.

Call and ask for the install fee to be waived...that's what I did, and they are supposedly crediting my account.

I called a few minutes before my service call this afternoon to see about a waiver for the charge, and the CSR told me that I should ask the tech since this is just a software upgrade. The CSR said he couldn't do anything about it at the moment since a truck roll automatically has a charge associated with it.
