Moving Abroad... No Program Info

I'm moving abroad and will not have the ability to download program information on my Series 2 (either through the phone line or internet). Is it still possible to manually record programs when the program data runs out? If not, are there any tivos that will? (I heard that some of the Tivo/DVD combos could do it)

You can manually record programs if you can get it to call home and update its subscription keys.

You can use an older Series 1 without sub or TiVo connection.
The Toshiba and Pioneer units will work without subscription, but I think the need the connection.

Somewhere in there would be a non-TiVo recorder, or a recorder domestic to where you are going.
