Problem with My DVR Expander

Since we added the My DVR Expander to our S3, I've noticed while watching recorded content, it will FF 3-5 seconds at any given time. The audio/video will just jump ahead. This doesn't happen on every recording though. My wife thought it was happening before we installed the extra storage, but I'm thinking it just started happening.

Am I the only one having this issue?

ETA: It's only on recorded shows. When watching live tv, all is good.

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe that even live tv is first saved to hd, then played back.

so it might not be a disk issue... maybe a spurious signal drop?
