Man am I slow at picking up things at times. I had no idea I could copy a show I recorded on my series 2 to my computer. Well, I now know it's possible and I've been able to copy over my sons Christmas shows, Charlie Brown and Shrek. Now I need to convert them so I can play them back on my Apple TV.
I've done some looking and I see the is the Desktop Plus version from Tivo for $25. Is that really worth it or is there some other program I need to use that would be better and easier. I'd like to have something that copies the program converts the program automatically if possible and even deletes the original program once the conversion is done.
Can anyone suggest the best practices item to use here? I'm starting to build a library of movies on my NAS drive and I stream all those, my music and pictures to the television using the Apple TV.
