Portable TTG files to Itunes library... Some won't import

We have a new laptop running Tivo Desktop 2.5.1, Itunes with Vista and an Ipod touch. For some reason, about 1/3 of the shows (some the same show, network & time slot) I download from my S2 & convert for "Apple Ipod" will not import into Itunes library.

The shows all go through the same download and conversion process, then some will automatically import into Itunes while others won't. When I try to import these same files manually using either "Add file (or folder) to library" or the Import option, I can select the file but it still does not appear in the library. I've looked at the "Videos" and other folders but the shows don't appear at all.

It seems that converted files that will automatically load to Itunes can be deleted, then reloaded manually with no problem... those that don't load automatically refuse to load no matter what.

Btw, I have Norton AV running too...

Anyone else experiencing this or have a work-around/solution?

I don't think so... As I said, two episodes of the exact same show and one will load into itunes and another won't.

I ran into this problem last night. I was able to figure out that the filename was too long. When I reduced the filename to something smaller, all the files that would not import were then able to be imported.
