My TTG files will not playback with Media Player nor Media Player Classic.
When trying to access my TiVo box (Series 2 / SW Version: 9.1-01-2-540) using TTG 2.5.1, I keep getting a MAK error prompt. Have tried using REGEDIT to "overwrite" the Binary Zero..But alas, after rebooting, and restarting TTG, it reverts back to not accepting my MAK. I also rechecked the "Protected Storage" (Covered in another thread...) still nada...
I was able to use the Tivo Web Server to view my recorded shows, allowed me to download using my tivo / MAK login... When attempted to view the downloaded file, results were choppy/"scrambled" video with unintelligible sound (hence my thought this is a "Decryption" / Codec issue)
I've done a lot of research but haven't found a definitive answer. One possibility, seems to sorround the MAK not being accepted by TiVo and thus not "decrypting" the file to be used by VideoReDo nor viewed by PC ...
I've uninstalled/reinstalled Tivo Desktop (several times.. Did find an archived Desktop v2.3a.. trying that next...)
I've installed every codec pack I could find (Cole, Lite and another one)
and still no good...
Do you folks have any insight?
Thanks in advance! Sebastian
