Dear Community... Sorry if this has been addressed before..
I have been given a US (120v & NTSC) Series 2 Tivo. I would dearly love to get this amazing machine working... First question, does the the Tivo have the ability to handle 240v, or do I need a transformer....? Second question, I will not be using this Tivo to record terrestrial TV, but wish to use in conjunction with SKY, via Scart... Is this possible....??
Many thanks...

No, no and no. 120V, NTSC only, and you must subscribe to the TiVo service in order to record, which you can't. Look instead for a Europe-market DVD recorder with hard disk.

If you are in the UK, Series 1 TiVo's were sold there for a short while and are still being used. Go to the UK forum for further information.

Europe is generally 220v@50cycles & NTSC will not work. Leave the Tivo here and acquire one in Europe. Here in NJ there are some neighborhoods where appliances for use in foreign countries are sold. Try doing a search in google

Good luck
