Tivo Desktop PSP Conversion

I have Tivo Desktop 2.5.1 and have been trying to convert Tivo Video to the PSP format. Nothing happens when I check PSP in the Desktop software. WTF?

The sequence is to:

1. Open TiVo Desktop

2, Pick Recordings to Transfer and get a show uploaded into your Now Playing List.

3. In the Now Playing List, click on the show you want to convert to highlight it.

4. Choose Actions/Convert for... along the top Menu Bar.

5. From the pop-up window that appears, drop down the menu with the arrow to the right of the white data entry space and select Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) by clicking on it

6. Click on the Convert Button at the lower left.

7. REMEMBER, These will go to a Folder under My Documents that is labeled My TiVo Recordings for Portables. Use the Search function to find it, if necessary.

8. Find that folder and drag the converted file with your Tivo show into whatever software you use to upload to your PSP.

9. Upload it to your PSP.

P.S. If your converted files aren't going into the My TV Recordings for Portable files,

1. Open TiVo Desktop.

2. Choose File/Preferences from the top Menu Bar.

3. Click on the Portable Devices tab along the top.

4. Click the radio button in front of Convert for use with my and drop down the menu using the arrow on the right.

5. Choose Sony Playstation Portable (PSP)

6. Choose the OK Button along the bottom right.

7. Try the steps in my first message again.

I did all that and nothing. Then the next day I noticed it actually had done the conversion.....5 times. Apparently it doesn't show you that it is doing the conversion like with the other file types. Which leads a person to think it isn't being done thus you click it again and again.

Sounds frustrating. There is actually a tiny little icon that looks like a tape deck that appears in the lower right portion of your status bar at the bottom of your monitor. It looks like the tape is spinning.

If you don't know about it, you'll miss it totally.

Perhaps this will help you see that a conversion is in process next time.

Funny how any other type of conversion lets me know it is being done. It doesn't show anything happening for the PSP conversion, not even the tiny tape spinning in the lower right portion of the status bar.
