My Mom just got Direct Tv and she wants to hook it up to her standalone Tivo. The trouble is when the Tivo setup asks for the boxes manufacturer we are stumped (need this so the Tivo can change channels on the DTV box). Two calls to DTV were no help as the techs tell us they manufacture the boxes (I doubt this). Does anyone know which manufacturer to select? (ie motorola, jerrold etc?). Do you know the code I could input instead? The Tivo works great now but we can't record anything. Oh, there is no serial connector or other options for us, just the IR.
PLEASE HELP!

Most likely the box manufacturer is Hughes. So select that under the sat receiver section and then the model number of the receiver if needed.

DirecTV is listed as a manufacturer. Recent ones use the 10074 code.

What kind of Tivo and what kind of DTV box?
I thought Pace used to make their boxes, but I might be wrong.

Some current boxes are supposedly manufactured by Pace, but I have never heard of Pace branded DirecTV boxes. The current Pace manufactured boxes use the DirecTV brand code of 10074, I am sure.
