Does any one else have an ihome in the same area as the tivo? I have noticed all the buttons at one time or another turn my iHomes alarm on an off. i just think that it if funny. Now when I change the channel or volume on the Tivo my iHome beeps along with it.

I have an iHome about 5 feet from two DTiVos. I haven;t experienced anything weird. In fact I just tested it by pointing the DTiVo remote directly at the iHome and hitting the buttons. Nothing happened.

The OP with one tivo probably has it set to address zero, where you with two tivos are set addresses other than zero, and so you won't get the same results.

What's iHome?

A brand of iPod dock. So you dock your iPod into the iHome and it becomes an iPod clock radio.

Try the following on the tivo remote:

1. press and hold TIVO & PAUSE until the light remains on
2. press #1 key

Test to see if still controls the tivo and interferes with Ihome.

I am having the same problem with my iHome. just purchased it, and everytime I use the Tivo remote, it causes the iHome to switch through menus or pause and play music. If you figure out a fix, post it.

Good to know that I shouldn't purchase an iHome. I was thinking about one. Thanks for saving me the $$ on something I really didn't need.

Yes, they seem to use the same remote control codes for some functions.

My IHome 6 IPod Player/Alarm Clock Radio turns the radio on and cycles through the stored preset radio stations (4 are available) for every down press of the TIVO volume control. Up presses don't do anything.

My TV is a Sony so the overlap may originate in the Sony Remote control codes. I have not yet tried downpressing the Sony TV remote volume control. TIVO has to follow Sony so I'd blame Sony and IHome for selecting overlapping control functions. At least I know the IHome isn't arbitrarily comming on. After I found out what was happening I felt better about it. Need to seperate these two beasts right now to keep peace in the bedroom.
