I just replaced the hard drive on my Sony SVR 3000 with a preformated drive from dvrupdate.
When I plugged it in, it's now telling me my network adapter is not supported.
I plugged in the phone line and it went through guided setup and is now getting more data.
I already booted the router. Our other Tivo is working just fine via the network.
Any ideas what I can/should do to get it to recognize an adapter it used until yesterday?

Make sure it has the latest software.

Are you trying to use WPA or WEP encryption? If it's WPA then that's probably the issue because it was not supported in earlier versions of the software. Or could just be that the adapter is not supported until a later version of the software.
Just use the phone line to get the latest version then reboot. You should then be able to use your network adapter.

After several attempts, including a the suggestion noted above to reboot, it finally started working again after the newest version of the software was downloaded.
The drive was shipped with one of the version 7's and when it went to version 9 the adapter was recognized. It took all night, but it worked.
Many thanks!
