I guess I should buy a Tivo HD in the next month or so if I'm going to at all (so I can get lifetime on it). I'm just wondering if Tivo2Go works the same/as well as on my Series 2.
I'm reading all kinds of problems on here, but it sounds like many are caused by security software, or faulty hardware.
With HD content, can you still do all the same things with your shows as on an S2? Still convert it for use on an iPod, use the exact same tools, etc.? Still play it back using regular DVD player programs?
Semi-related question that I guess technically belongs in the S3 forum, but does that external Western Digital drive really work reliably to expand it's space? 20-30 hours or whatever the built in drive gives you isn't good enough, but I think an extra 500GB would work for me.
If I get this, I'm actually just planning on trying it out for a week or two to make sure it works, and then boxing it up and relying on my S2 until the fall season starts (if it does), since right now I have no particular need for a second tuner or HD.
