Is there any way to control how my Tivo HD changes channels when switching from a show you are watching live to a something scheduled?
What I mean by this is something like this. I’m watching live TV (yes I occasionally watch live). Nothing is recording, but I have a show scheduled to start at the next hour, plus a suggested show set to record.
So a few minutes before the hour, I get a message asking to change the channel to record the scheduled show. So I say yes and I change away from what I am watching, I say no and my scheduled show doesn’t record.
Now what I want to know is why doesn’t it ask if I want to switch to record the suggested show instead of my scheduled show? Usually if I schedule a show I do actually want it to record. Most suggestions I could take or leave, so I’d prefer to pick that one to cancel if I could.
