I am unable to get Galleon to connect to the server. This program works similarly as TIVO Desktop. Before I downloaded Galleon, I tried to get TIVO Desktop...but it is required that you have Service Pack 2 and I only have Service pack 1. My friend updated my system to XP Pro...but I didn't get the Service Pack 2 and now the microsoft website says that I have an unauthorized copy of XP. Guess I am "screwed". Hope that I can get a program that works like Galleon or TIVO Desktop. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

yes. you need to purchase a legitimate licence for windows. then tivo desktop will download and install just fine. or learn to use a free os like some versions of linix.

Get a legal copy of Windows. Seriously, your "friend" did you no favours. Running an unpatched version of Windows is just asking for having a machine that is shared with every hacker on the Internet.

Thanks for your replies. I can upgrade the Microsoft XP Pro for $149.00 from their website. But since I need to pay off Christmas, I will have to wait. I hoped to learn of other programs that would work like Tivo Desktop.
Update to my post:
I upgraded the Microsoft XP Pro - I went back to Galleon and downloaded this program. I will now investigate the Pro's /Con's of Galleon and Tivo Desktop.

I really like Galleon, but I have not been very successful in getting it to work again. TIVO Desktop music (mp3's playing on my TV through the stereo system) just doesn't compare to the Galleon setup. Hope I can find a way through this.:D
