Finally finished! I really liked it. I've heard that some people didn't like the ending but I don't get it. How did these people expect it to end? I don't see how it could have ended any other way and been satisfying.

It ended suddenly. I don't remember the exact details but the ending didn't seem like an ending. I seemed like they ran out of tape and a SciFi promo popped up.

yea. The ending just seemed abrupt. It just seemed not well done. If you didn't feel that way than I guess it is hard to describe. I just felt like "Is that it?".

Add me to those who enjoyed pretty much the whole 6 hours and the ending. Sure it had its dull moments. I don't understand either those who didn't like the ending. As you say, how else would it have ended?

The ending just seemed so cheesy with the beam of light going up for the moons and whatnot.
Just seemed rushed and cheesy.

I found the whole mini-series mediocre but somehow I kept watching it (perhaps because it was the first show I watched in HD on SciFi).
However the ending was really bad. Felt like I wasted 5 hours watching this.

I liked the mini-series, and boy did it look great in HD. If I couldn't FF through the commercials I never would have stuck with it though, the breaks seemed to come quicker than an episode of Lost.
I could even see a series of the Tin Man's adventures in Central City before Bat Boobs took over. I guess someone new would need to play the Mystic Man, unless Richard Dreyfuss needs the work nowadays. :)

Okay, I get it now I thought people didn't like how it ended not the way it ended if that makes sense. I guess I didn't really care that it was abrupt it was late and I was ready for bed! lol

I also felt it was really an abrupt ending. It would have been nice have had something that wasn't "OK, everyone line up for the picture" . Personally, I would have liked a cut to Glich asking "Hey, can I get my brain back?" Then maybe a shot of all of them laughing and one of the "witches" taking him by the hand and leading him out to do do just that. Then it would have been good to have a shot with Cain and his son together and maybe even bring in the DG's "parents" as well. There are all kinds of things that they could have done by just adding one or two min. that would have made it seem like the OZ was returning to normal.

I just finished it too. Have to say after reading all the posts, it was better than I thought it was going to be. Thought everyone was good in it except Zooey. I thought Jorja Fox ( CSI) was a bad actress, but Zooey makes her look good.

The ending was abrupt but it was a happy ending nonetheless.

Did you ever doubt for a second that it would be?

Well I thought the older sister could possibly die or sacrifice herself to save DG. However I'm glad the way it worked out..

I just finished watching and really liked it. Too bad for me that I don't get SciFi in HD. I bet it looked great. I'll definitely be renting it when it comes out on DVD so I can see it in HD.
I really liked how and when Toto appeared. I was kind of bummed that he wasn't on from the beginning, but once he finally showed up I thought it was pretty cool how they fit his character in to the story.
I don't think Zooey is the best actress I've ever seen, but I don't get all the bashing I've read about her performance. I think her wide eyed amazement was totally believable. I can't imagine how big my eyes would be, and I don't think I'd be able to keep my jaw from permanently dropping, if something like that happened to me :D
Also, I think the ending was good. Sisters both safe, ding dong the witch is dead, family (Mom, Dad, both girls) group hug, Glitch, Raw, Tin Man get hugs, Toto shows up, O.Z. sun reappears, D.G. says "That's the O.Z. I remember. I'm so glad to be home" and it's over! Worked for me.

jeez I'm way behind on my TV viewing. :)
This mini was watchable, a big step up for a SCI FI Original.
Big sis is really a hottie, I perked up every time she was on the screen.
That is all. ;)

We did watch parts 1 & 2 in HD up in Charleston over the holidays, and goodness it did in fact look good in HD.
Soon I will have SciFi HD as well, and look forward to them playing it again.
