We have had a Toshiva TX20 with Tivo Basic for about 3 years. In the last few weeks, the unit will freeze for a few seconds with a checkerboard pattern and then continue. It comes and goes as far as the frequency, but often it is every few seconds. Is this likely a problem that is not fixable or at least not fixable cheaply?
Also does anyone know if there are still any units you can get Tivo Basic on? I cannot seem to find evidance that Tivo Basic is offered on any current products.
