I have Tivo Sever/Desktop Plus 2.5.1 running on my Vista machine. It works fine for transfering shows back and forth. I have an external drive with moves as mpg's. There are about 200 movies. When I add a short cut to the tivo directory to the movies the tivo server will not start. I can take indivual movies and add a shortcut and it seems to work. If I get too many movies it stops working. I have run tests to see if it is one movie but I can not pin it down. For example one time it works with a set of movies and then a reboot it stops working.
