WMA-No FF or rewind for TiVO on playback

I have used TiVO Desktop to download some TiVo recorded program to my PC so I can play them with WMA 11. The files play properly but the FF and rewind controls are greyed out and do not operate at all. Also if I pause it for more than about 15 minutes into the show, selecting the Play/Pause button restarts the shsow from start rather than from where I paused it.
Is this normal?

Yep, that's windows. I can't tell you how to get around the pause problem, but you can click your status bar (the one that shows how far into the program you are) to jump ahead or back. It's not exact, but it helps get through the commercials without watching them.
