Someone help me, before I just get rid of this stupid box....

New TivoHD with single M-Card

I pause one show (live) and switch to other tuner (also live)

I switch back, and the paused show has ticked forward a few seconds (about 5).

As I switch back and forth, the "PAUSED" program continues to advance.

Have rebooted twice to same result.
Do I have a busted box which I should just exchange, or is this yet another "normal" feature of the Series??

Man, my Series2 was a brickhouse, compared to the non-responsive piece of junk I have now.

The pause issue is a known bug, but five seconds sounds a bit long. I find it is more like 1/3 of a second for me, but I watch mostly HD channels.

If you just got the box, be aware that is slower for the first 48-72 hours while the guide data is indexed. Performance is improved with software v9.2a, but the guide data will need to be indexed again after installation of that software. So you won't see "normal" performance until you've had 9.2a for 48-72 hours.

TivoPony posted a few weeks ago saying that a bugfix release was in the works. Presumably, this will be among the issues that is resolved.

Thanks for the bug acknowledgement.
I got the box on 7 days ago, and the indexing is complete.

If it is being worked on, I can live with it for now.

Box is still much slower than my pioneer series 2 :(

Just did a hard reboot, and that seems to have made it more responsive. Not as good as series2, but definitely better.

My plan had been to transfer my $6.95 service to the TivoHD (leaving tivo basic on the pioneer).

What I will do instead is open a new account for the TivoHD. I still have 3 weeks to return it to CircuitCity.

Whether I keep the unit or not, I will end up canceling the new service subscription.

I just don't want to be moving my $6.95 sub around for no good reason.

That, and getting another 3 weeks free on the TivoHD has a nice appeal to me.
