I had 2 tivo installed with CC about 2-3 weeks ago.
Tech's were clueless and while 2 came out neither had ever seen or done a cablecard or tivo. I was their training! CSR told me my bill would only change by the CC cost, 6 bucks. I said OK and we'll wait and see when the next bill comes. None of the 4 CC's get the encrypted channels-I have to call in for a third time to tech support to fix their config.
I was expecting a $20-40 truck roll charge, which I guess they decided not to charge since I trained 2 of their Tech's. No truck roll charge-luckily.
We'll my first post install bill came in the other day and the price jumped like $45. I was pissed. I tried calling in to question the charges, like Digital Outlet $34.95..., but over the last week everytime I call its: "Were experiencing higher than normal call volumes...your wait time is between 15 and 27 minutes" I actually hung on the line for 15 minutes yesterday, but had to leave work.
I called tonight and actually got through. I was expecting a f*ck you response, but the guy was really cool and dropped my bill to $72/month, or just $6 more than before the Tivo's. He took off the 34.95 Digital Outlet fee, and my pre Tivo A/O fee of $14.95 dropped off, plus a ton of other changes they made. Bottom line is that I have 5 Cablecards in 2 S3's+1 in my 45" Sharp, plus their Moto box for my third HDTV and my bill is $72/month.
I wonder if I can downgrade to the Unadvertised $12 basic, add $7 for HD locals plus $6 for CC's + $7 Moto box for a monthly fee of: $32?
I've had numerous horrible experiences with Comcast...glad yours was finally fixed. I despise the practice of raising prices or putting extra charges on your bill without your consent or authorization.
When I signed up for online billing, Comcast decided to withdraw 4 months of service fees (about $500) from my checking account without authorization. It took 4 phone calls of promises (that it would be refunded) before someone finally told me they wouldn't be able to return the money to my checking account, and I had to go downtown and stand in line to get my money back that they took.
That is why I dropped all Comcast services except cable modem, and do OTA with my TivoHD. Soon FTTH will be available here, and I will drop Comcast HSI.

I just have to give you my great experiance with Comcast here in the Harrisburg, PA area. I hooked up my TiVo TCD652160 HD Digital Video Recorder on Thurs. 11-22-07. Asked Comcast to come Monday 12-26-07 to install a multiPass CableCard. They actually showed up early on Monday. The tech knew what he was doing and completed the install without any problem. There was no charge for the call or the cableCard and I pay $5 a month for the HD, which I was already paying. I am VERY Happy with my TiVo and Comcast.
By the way I just ran a speed test on the Internet and got 11.87megabits per second, which is not unusually for me.

qz3fwd,
According to FCC:
"Non-Regulated Rates
The rates for any tier of service (other than the basic services tier) and for any pay-per-channel programming (i.e., a premium movie channel) and pay-per-program services (i.e., a pay-per-view sports event) are not regulated. Your cable company is free to charge any rate for these services. However, your cable company may not require you to purchase any additional service tier other than the basic services tier in order to have access to pay-per-view events or premium channels offered on an "a la carte" or individual basis. On the other hand, there is no law that requires cable companies to offer channels or programs on an “a la carte” basis."

I'm thinking based on this that you can get the package you seek, but I'm guessing that it may be easier said than done.
If you try, please let me know how it works out.

Wicker - Harrisburg here too - just got my THD up and running and now need to get the CCs installed. Do you have your receipt that states who your tech/installer was? I really would want to get him to do my install next week!

I hate Comcast! Terrible service and miserable signal! I am sitting here watching Deal Or No Deal via OTA. I have almost a perfect signal on NBC (92%) with the other two majors at almost 100% via OTA. I do have basic cable service for back up.
Comcast is based in Philly. So they are constantly in the local business press. They have been moaning recently that their stock is tanking and are bleeding customers. GOOD! After years of price increases they are getting their just reward. They are claiming FIOS and At&T are taking their customers. What I find amazing is they fail to realize that more and more people are taking an old school approach in the 21st century to televsion. Like myself, I was so disgusted with Comcast that I am now HDTV OTA with a beautiful picture.
I am thinking of going to Verizon DSL and drop Comcast completely for Internet and TV. The FIOS lines are laid in my neighborhood. I am waiting patiently to make the call to Comcast and tell them I am going to FIOS. Evan with FIOS, I am plan on keeping OTA for the locals.
