So I just found out, after the technician installed a multi-stream card in my TiVO HD that I can no longer get sports subscriptions, movies, etc., since the card is only one-way. Now I have to decide to return the TiVo and get the crappy Cox DVR back. No one told me about this at any point of sales or reserving cable cards. What a shock? Are there any threads in these forums about this limitation? I haven't located it yet.

This forum would be a better place for this problem.

Hmmm... that's funny... I got the impression that they allowed talk about anything in this forum now!! After all, we all know the hr10-250 is a dead product, why not talk about something new and refreshing?;)

I found all of the SDV discussions and looks like I'll have to return my S3 so I can enjoy my Celtics and college b'ball. Bummer! Maybe in a year or so this tech thing will be sorted out and I can return to the fold.

You went from factual and strongly opinioned to antagonistic. Now you've just become a figure of fun and light amusement.

That's pretty much wrong, but doing it becomes much more of a hassle. You can't browse to a PPV channel and hit the buy button due to the lack of return but there's nothing stopping you from calling the cable company and ordering a PPV program. Especially true for something like a subscription package.
No return does totally kill VOD though, no way around that...

Thanks. I am having trouble finding a CSR at Cox who will sign me up. They canceled me when they swapped box for card. I'll try the level three supervisor on Monday morning and see if (s)he can help. I have a bad feeling about this. It seems that there is a Cox story and the CSRs stick to it. No specials. Even the Cox field guys are finding high rates of CableCard failures and flakiness, according to my latest installer.
